Hee! Thank you, I'm very happy you enjoyed this, and that the narrative voice worked well. Yes, "he doesn't understand friendship" would have been the obvious answer, wouldn't it? I do like playing with that kind of thing. Andt if Holmes and Moriarty are in some ways mirrors of each other, so if Holmes is allowed negative traits, then surely that must mean Moriarty must have some positive ones as well.
For all that Holmes can be pretty damn arrogant at times, he's also surprisingly gracious, and I always liked that he didn't shy away at all from admitting his errors. :)
