I don't think I've seen a serious Holmes-Lost World crossover, but the mix of ridiculous scenario and heavy emotion fits the new Russian Holmes very well. This was really believable as Holmes's emotional response to the series, especially the events of the last episode and the limits of what Holmes can fix in this world. I felt like Holmes's sympathy for Hélène fit in with the contrast between his and Moriarty's approach to science and the future.
