Ok so first off, I am sick and have been coughing for about a week and …yeah. So Supposedly not Covid and fever not high enough for flu but it still has this Old Gods quality all the same. My brain is not working well, is what I’m getting at here. But I must guess! So I saw this email come in and I immediately started laughing my ass off because it was all like Coat! Stop! Don’t look as this! Go away! Except it was a lot nicer and funnier than that. I did catch a fleeting glimpse of an email, and therein lies the problem. It wasn’t one I recognized. By all rights it should have been. The email was direct in a way that spoke to having done Holmestices together in the past. And they knew of both my fondness for W&H, bust moreso, there was a bit of discussion about a Jewish Holmes a while back and how I finally decided to really go for it with Astrakhan, I Perceive (it’s been expanded while I decide if I wanna do anything else with it) So, while never exactly “closeted”, religiously speaking, there was a time when I was most definitely Out. So this was likely someone from around that time period. I got no spoons in me for a grammatical analysis, but I don’t see anything distinct, except the 221B format itself, which newer folks may not know, but I already could tell this wasn’t “newer folks” That email glimpse frustrates me. I am going with Acorn_Squash, who was part of that discussion, might have an email I wouldn’t recognize right away, knows my taste (not necessarily their fandom but a good chance it might be by now…) knows 221Bs, and would joke around with me a bit. But I am not happy with this guess. Still, I can’t get past not at least seeing the name come up rather than the email address. Did you use a sneaky email? If so…if could be Starfishstar? And if ot is, I hope you liked by improvised bit on getting new people into W&H. It’s absolutely true. I’m sending off vol 1 as a Christmas present to a pretty amazing Discord/Sh&Co artist. No no not to lure them in, no. Just a friendly gift.
My guess
