With regard to squicks and/or kinks, I'd draw the line at...:
For Holmestice, I'm not looking for explicit sex/kink onscreen; these fandoms and that sort of content simply don't intersect in my head. Note that this doesn't stop me from reading other folks' Holmestice stories that include explicit content and appreciating the craft therein. Subject to the informed consent of all involved parties, I'm good with anyone's characters living whatever sex lives they so choose. One caveat: in works written for me, I'd prefer not to see power-imbalanced relationships (adult/child, teacher/student, etc.) depicted in a positive light.
That said: I do not object to acknowledged villains engaging in villainy, possibly including torture, sexual depravity, etc., in pursuit of their evil goals. Just don't overdo the splatteriness of the gore, try not to murder or permanently break our heroes/heroines/sidekicks, and see that the villains are given their due for such evil as they commit.
Further details:
I am vast, I enjoy multitudes. I tinker with the write/receive lists in every new signup; this doesn't mean I've lost interest in the works cycled out, only that I'm adding and subtracting material in hopes that someone will click with me on something I've rotated in.
If there's a Holmesian fandom or relationship I've mentioned in prior signups (or written/received in a prior round) but have omitted here, feel free to scoop up whatever prompts I may have given at the time and run with them. This is a reason I haven't tried to give detailed prompts for everything; if you need more specific suggestions once we're matched, have the mods ping me and I'll be glad to oblige.
Two instances where I do have strong opinions that affect my interests: Cavallaro (A Study in Charlotte, etc.) and the recent Patterson/Sitts book Holmes, Marple & Poe. For both these, my strong preference is for fixits/canon-divergences/extreme AUs, the more drastic the better.
Canonical Cavallaro, for me, goes wildly off the rails almost at once and never comes back (see my 22CEN fusion for one try at a fix). The Patterson isn't as actively painful, largely because it quickly distances its three leads from their predecessors - but in doing so it loses a lot of the potential appeal of the premise. If you wade into H-M-P, I'd be most interested in a much closer match to the characters and/or tones from its various source works.
I'm also terminally addicted to crossovers - while indulging me on this is totally optional and at your own discretion, if you are so minded you are completely welcome to introduce characters from one Holmesian variant to characters from another, or to intriguing outside characters. Some thoughts:
• ACD/Pons (Mycroft and Bancroft?)
• Enola & Russell, Mina, or in 22CEN
• for Elementary, TV's Elsbeth and/or the new Matlock
• TNG!Moriarty vs. 22CEN Moriarty
• Holmes & Spock as ancestor/descendant
Special requests:
As above, so below. I'm not a good match for is someone looking for explicit sexual material, heavy romance, or angsty darkfic...but I'm familiar with a wider range of Holmesian pastiche and media than I can list in any one signup, I've created gifts in fandoms I've not actually been matched on, I'm generally happy to wade into some of the odder corners of Holmesiana, and have I mentioned liking to write crossovers? Mods: absolutely feel free to consult if necessary regarding possible matches not contemplated by the current signup.
