That's a wrap for the main round of gifts! Thank you so much for another wonderful round of Holmestice! The mods want to say THANK YOU to all the creators who joined us for this round. You put in a lot of hard work and made some wonderful things.

Reveals and the Master List go up on December 21st! Until then, please enjoy and comment on all the lovely fanworks. Creators, please do NOT respond to comments on DW or post your fanwork elsewhere until reveals go up in the community. (You may of course post to our AO3 Winter 2017 Holmestice collection, which preserves your anonymity. You may reply to AO3 comments, as well.)

The main round of gifts are all posted, but we're not done yet -- we have several days of treats coming up! We'll continue to accept treats right through until reveals, so if there's a prompt out there that intrigues you and you want to whip something up for it, please do! Well.....YOU seem to me the next most likely match for the long list of fandoms in that fic, in fact. (And yes, I definitely realize that sometimes people write for a 'verse they didn't offer initially in their sign-up! And yes, I did think about the fact that you, too, wrote a crossover last time, though admittedly not a mega-multiverse crossover like in "Five Doctors") It was just that so many other things about this fic reminded me of gardnerhill's last Holmestice fic, and meanwhile I suspected you were more likely to write something romantic and/or femslash and/or Holmes/Watson, rather than Elementary gen. (Though, YES, I do know you're an Elementary fan as well, so writing Elementary isn't out of the question.) ...So you can see I put a good deal of thought into it, at least.

But I don't actually know almost anyone here, and I haven't been participating in Holmestice long enough to have a deep understanding of everyone's niches, so feel free to laugh at me. ;-)

A true if possibly misleading fact:

Last year at this time I owned one season of Elementary on disc.

Now I own *four* seasons on disc, and am a CBS All Access subscriber....

Also, there are a number of brand new players in this round -- and some of them are from the Russellverse comm Letters of Mary, where one writer recently posted a really good multi-chapter Russellverse/ST:TNG crossover.

Well, I already have *you* down as someone who could have written just about anything in this fest, given your enormous list of fandoms... But I'm withholding judgment until I've read more of the entries.

Yes, so many new folks! Though perhaps I'm at an odd sort of advantage there, since I hardly even know the old folks anyway...

Oh, that was a purely factual quibble: there were a good half-dozen sign-ups that suggested an ability to handle that particular combination of fandoms.

But as you say, that was only one line of evidence for your guess.

*practices catching popcorn in my mouth*

...Were there really, though? The inclusion of My Dearly Beloved Detective rather narrowed the field. (Although, yes, I suppose anyone could write a Shirley Holmes cameo without necessarily being conversant with the film.)

If you consider that half the fandoms in that were cameos: yes, really.
