I will create:
A fanwork of the following type(s): fic
In one or more of the following parts of fandom: Books: Doyle - Canon
For one or more of the following relationships: I'm willing to write for almost any pairing. I probably enjoy writing gen and friendship as much as, if not more than, romantic relationships.
I like working with one or more of the following categories: Fluff; Angst; Post-Reichenbach; Romance; Hurt/Comfort; Established Relationship; Friendship; Humor; Case Fic; Friendship; Drug Addiction; Retirement; Slice of Life
With any of the following ratings: 1) suitable for general audiences; 2) non-explicit sexual content; 4) mild to moderate violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes; 5) moderate to explicit graphic violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes
I am willing to create for the following squicks and/or kinks: none
I want to receive:
A fanwork of the following type(s): fic
In one or more of the following parts of fandom: Books: Doyle - Canon; TV/Film: Livanov/Solomin Russian Holmes; BBC Sherlock
For one or more of the following relationships: I'm open to any pairings except ones that involve Moriarty and Irene Adler. And Mystrade. For some reason, these don't work for me personally (although I recognize there have been many fantastic fics written about them).
I like stuff in the following categories: As long as it's well-written, I'll read almost anything. Having said that, I'm not particularly drawn to magical realism, AUs that stray significantly from the place and time of the original stories, fantasy or science fiction AUs, etc.
With any of the following ratings: 1) suitable for general audiences; 2) non-explicit sexual content; 4) mild to moderate violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes; 5) moderate to explicit graphic violence or depictions of non-sexual mature themes
I wouldn’t mind any of the following squicks and/or kinks: none
Please include further details about what you’d like to receive: I love epistolary fic. I love stories that explore the early days of the relationship between Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. I'm interested in Watson's time in Afghanistan and how Holmes ended up in Sussex. How Holmes and Watson navigated the homophobia of their time in ways that are plausible and true to the period. Cases that didn't go well. Reichenbach and post-Reichenbach with as much angst as you wish to include. Holmes's or Watson's childhood or adolescence. Holmes during the hiatus. Watson during the hiatus. Holmes's drug addiction and Watson's neurasthenia/shell shock/PTSD. I'm interested in the relationship between Watson and Mary Morstan. I love reading about the supporting characters in canon as well as any original characters you're inspired to create. And stories in which Victorian London plays a role.
I love all of BBC Sherlock through The Abominable Bride. I like parentlock, as long as John is shown as a responsible father. (I stop reading stories in which he leaves Rosie with others for extended periods of time to go solve cases with Sherlock or otherwise doesn't take his parental duties seriously.) I'm fascinated by the relationship between Mycroft Holmes and Sherlock Holmes. My favorite Watson (besides canon) is Vitaly Solomin's in the Lenfilm series–I absolutely adore him. As mentioned above, I prefer Moriarty only in small amounts. And there is enough sadness in the world, so I prefer to avoid stories where Holmes and Watson end up permanently estranged.
Do not want: A/B/O, mpreg, depictions of Mary Morstan as a villain with no redeeming qualities
Edited to add: The mods probably already know this because they're very organized, but just a quick reminder that I'll be offline from this weekend until October 15. So if you write to me and don't hear back from me, that's the reason. But I'll be back in touch with you right away after that about my assignment. Thank you!
