Date: 2023-06-17 08:58 pm (UTC)PS. In my head, I have a teen AU set in America in which Sherlock and Molly are lab partners. He starts off being annoyed by her crush on him, but discovers she's actually a really great lab partner and a very nice person. They become close friends. Several months on, when she tells Sherlock she's upset about being teased by other girls for being "behind" socially/romantically, he says, "I don't actually want to date you on account of being gay*, but if you want I could be your boyfriend for show? If that would help?" And then he kind of gets into the chivalrous behavior, and the other high school boys are annoyed that they have to step their game up, especially after Sherlock's promposal to Molly. lololol
(*And hopelessly pining for John who thinks of Sherlock as a brother, because they legally are, having been adopted together by an American couple.)
