Come Christmas time, they're being recalled to Heaven for whatever reason and they know this is going to upset Character B big time, because they can't actually tell them where they're going and why. Your choice if you want to give them a happy ending, but if you want to go down the City of Angels route, I won't stop you...

1) Parentlock - Sherlock has a fight with his and John's child and the kid says "you're not my father" and it really upsets Sherlock.
2) people don't believe either John or Sherlock when they say they're dating/married/etc?
3) Sherlock sees John shirtless for the first time and sees a lot of muscle and is amazed.
4) John has piercings and Sherlock is trying so hard to see or John has an earring and it's driving Sherlock to distraction.
5) AU - Sherlock is trying to hide a physical attribute from John that he doesn’t want him to know about – prosthetic arm or leg, color-blind, deaf, etc.
6) Sherlock is in John's surgery while he's working and he hides himself behind the desk and gives John a blowjob when there's a patient there
7) John walks up to a coffee shop and is like "gimme the hottest thing you have, idc what it is" and then the person at the desk drags Sherlock out as a response
